Battery installation entails the location and mounting of the racks and batteries. Once the batteries are physically in place, we provide interconnection of the batteries within the string. We perform all installation procedures in accordance with the manufacturer's specification, local electric codes (IEEE) and seismic ratings.
And if you have an DC system that needs some better attention, we can totally remove, dispose of and replace your old batteries or UPS.
Battery Monitoring
Battery monitoring systems give you the ability to detect a battery going bad instantly. These monitoring systems measure overall voltage, cell voltages, current, and temperature; all key components that influence how batteries perform.
Battery monitoring systems record these measurements approximately once every four seconds. Along with these measurements, battery monitoring systems have the ability to measure battery resistance along with inter-tier resistance, measurements that will allow the user to troubleshoot a possible bad battery.

Battery Maintenance
Quarterly, battery maintenance is essential for 100% uptime in your power supply.
Our service plans are tailored to match your battery type and application. Hatch Power provides preventative and corrective battery maintenance and inspections at periodic intervals in accordance with the applicable IEEE standards.
Hatch Power seasoned field technicians measure and record critical battery parameters to be certain that your batteries are in proper material condition and will operate in accordance with the manufacturer's specification during a discharge, when it matters the most.
All of our maintenance procedures follow IEEE standards and include:
* Perform visual inspection
* Measure and record battery temperature
* Measure and record overall voltage
* Measure and record individual jar/cell voltages
* Measure and record internal jar / cell resistance (Internal Ohmic)
* Measure and record intercell / interjar resistance (Internal Ohmic)

Measure and record specific gravity
* Check electrolyte levels and fill where required.
* Clean and neutralize any electrolyte on battery covers or racks.

Wipe off dust and debris to eliminate parasitic paths for conduction.
**Upon completion of our maintenance procedures, we provide a detailed maintenance report that includes procedures, conclusions and recommendations.
Load Capacity Testing
periodic preventative maintenance does not guarantee the performance of a DC battery system. Load testing in a controlled environment is the best way to verify the capacity of the battery string.Hatch Power follows all IEEE standards and recommendations. We strongly recommend periodic load testing as a portion of a comprehensive battery maintenance program. The IEEE recommends load testing upon installation (commissioning) and periodically thereafter.
